SAN FRANCISCO PROPOSES CHINATOWN SUBWAY
Feb 28, 2008
SFGate.com recently reported that officials in San Francisco have proposed a light-rail subway spur that would travel 1.7 miles to Chinatown. The line would have three stops, one of which would be 95 feet below ground. High-speed escalators and elevators are being considered to allow passengers to reach the station. The project would be funded by federal dollars.
